All consultations and surgery is carried out at the SPIRE Washington Hospital, Picktree Lane, Rickleton, Tyne and Wear. The Hospital is fully accredited with resident Medical and Nursing staff and has 35 beds and 2 Operating theatres. Full physiotherapy, XRay, pharmacy and laboratory facilities are available onsite.

Currently an extension to the hospital is being built due for completion by June 2008. This will allow for an additional operating theatre and 10 extra rooms.

All rooms are ensuite and luxuriously appointed, and meals are individually cooked by a team of outstanding chefs.

Why consider plastic surgery?

The decision to undergo 'plastic' or cosmetic surgery is a very personal and life-changing one and support from friends or relatives is very important. Plastic surgery can improve a vast range of conditions from minor surgery for removal of unsightly moles, enhancing bodily aspects such as rhinoplasty or breast enlargement to rejuvenating procedures such as facelifting. It is important to recognise that most of this surgery will leave scarring but in the vast majority of cases, it is the skill of the surgeon that will place a scar in a natural fold or skin crease or in a hidden area.

In addition whilst every attempt to create a perfect result is made, it is important to be realistic about one's expectations. Often the final result will only be apparent weeks or even months after a procedure as the swelling subsides and skin redrapes.
